A Non-Governmental Organisation, (NGO) Accurate Creative Minds Foundation (ACMF) has reiterated its commitment towards education and youth development, as evident in the successful hosting of its inaugural book club contest.
Our correspondent reports that the contest, which took place at the ACMF Youth Development Centre in Abeokuta, featured twelve participating schools and centered on Emily Brontë’s classic novel, Wuthering Heights.
In attendance included the representative from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in Ogun State, Mr. Oluwatosin Akindele, a medical laboratory scientist from Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Abeokuta, Mr. Ridwan from Buckswood School, Mr Orisawayi from Top Tee College and Founder of ACMF, Dr. Babatunde Odedele amongst others teachers from schools that participated

Our correspondent also reports that the competition which was a thrilling experience, consisting of two segments: a debate and a quiz, interspersed with fun activities that kept the students engaged.
At the end of the competition, Premier Grammar School, Lafenwa emerged victorious, followed closely by Lafenwa High School in second place, and St. Peter’s College in third place.
In their separate remarks, the ACMF Book Club school coordinators took the opportunity to express their heartfelt gratitude to the foundation for the initiative.
Mr Akinfolarin Akinwale from Premier Grammar School, commended the foundation for promoting a love for literature and enhancing students’ analytical skills.
The event concluded with the presentation of gifts and awards to the winners, students, schools, and all the ACMF Book Club school coordinators, in recognition of their participation and achievements.
While speaking to journalists shortly after the event, a coordinator from Lafenwa High School, Mrs. Alaran, commended the ACMF team for the initiative, therefore appreciated the foundation’s role in fostering a love for literature and enhancing students’ analytical skills.
On his parts, the ACMF Director, Dr. Odedele expressed his gratitude for the successful event, therefore reaffirmed his dedication to promoting literacy, critical thinking, and intellectual curiosity among young people.
He also revealed the foundation’s commitment to launch the next phase of its book club activities, aiming to engage more students and schools in the coming sessions.
Other schools that participated were Ijemo Titun High School, Rev. Kuti Memorial Grammar Schooln Nawar-ud-deen High School, St. John College, St. John Anglican High School and Lafenwa High School.
Others were, Premier Grammar School, St. Peter’s College, Top Tee College, Mindset Academy and African Church Grammar School
