Ogun West Women for Yayi Hosts 2nd Annual Ramadan Lecture

Renowned Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Jamiu Ami Olohun, has urged Nigerians to shun betrayal and uphold integrity in their daily lives.

Sheikh Ami Olohun made the appealed while speaking as a guest lecturer at an event, 2nd Annual Ramadan Lecture for Ogun West Women for Yayi, hosted by Olori Adebisi Olaotan, held at pavilion, Empire Ground, Ilaro Ogun State.

Our correspondent gathered that the event was organized to honor the Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Senator Adeola Olamilekan popularly known as Yayi.

The event also featured different Islamic scholars, political associates which included the Chief Imam of Ilaro, Alhaji Tajudeen Adewunmi, Chief Imam of Owode Yewa, wife of Alhaji Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun amongst others.

In his Lecture, Sheikh Ami Olohun revealed the importance of truthfulness and loyalty in building a harmonious society.

He also appealed to all women to use same energy and time they spent on politics for their children saying that their children are future of tomorrow.

Sheikh Ami Olohun who equally commended and prayed for Senator Adeola Yayi said, the Senator has performed excellently well, therefore it’s time for Ogun West and Ogun State at large to support his next ambition.

According to him “Senator Yayi has demonstrated exceptional leadership, he has empowered and transformed Ogun West and beyond, his remarkable performance speaks for itself, and it is only right that people stand firmly behind his next ambition.”

While summarizing his Lecture, he said “I discussed and preached about love, unity, and the importance of never being a betrayer. Life is very unpredictable, You know, when things collide and become entangled, it becomes rare and difficult to distinguish between good and bad, between kind people and deceitful ones. But no matter how complicated life gets, you will always come to understand your own inner self.”

“So, whatever happens, never be a betrayer. Life is full of complications, and when challenges arise, stand firmly on the rock of truth—even if it means standing alone. That is the most important thing.”

“Women are life. Women are everything. Women can generate love and also bring peace, therefore, it is essential to include them in politics, religion, community development, and every aspect of society., Sheikh Ami Olohun concluded.

On his parts, the Chief Imam of Ilaro, Alhaji Tajudeen Adewunmi enjoined women to be truthful anf faithful to their husband.

Alhaji Adewunmi said women is life and its important for them to keep their homes, husband, children adding that after politics they should go back home and ensure that their homes are not empty.

Also speaking, the host of the event, Olori Adebisi Olaotan appreciated all the political associates, religious leaders and people who came from far and near for their support and love towards the success of the event.

The 2nd Annual Ramadan Lecture also provided all attendees with a special Ramadan package, including rice, beans, garri, and other essential food items.
