Hon. Wahab Commends Governor Abiodun for Upgrading Three Yewa North Chiefs To Monarch

Member of Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Wahab Abiodun Egungbohun, has commended the state Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for elevating three Yewa North chiefs to monarch status.

The newly upgraded Chiefs to monarch include, Chief Oje Adekola, as the Olohunbe of Ohunbe, HRM Oba Ogunyomi Gabriel, as Onimoto of Imoto, and Chief Sanya Olusola Fabuyi, as Olowode of Owode Ketu, in Yewa North local government area of the state.

Our correspondent reports that the installation and staff of office was presented to them on Wednesday by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiu Hamzat.

In attendance included the state executive members, the Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Daisi Elemide and other honourable members, the Chairman, Yewa North Local Government, Dr Olusola Akinbode and Honourable House of Assembly Member representing Ketu Constituency, Hon Wahab Abiodun Egungbohun.

Others were members of local government executive council, career officers both at the state and local governments, politicians, Olojas, youths, and amongst others.

While commending the state government, Hon. Egungbohun thanked the State government for upgrading the three Baales to monarch status.

He said Governor Abiodun with the new elevation of the three Chiefs, has demonstrated he’s commitment to preserving the traditional institutions of Ogun State.

The lawmaker therefore charged the new monarchs to promote peace and tranquility in their various communities, appealing to community leaders and people to join hands with them, in achieving success in their reign.
