I Don’t Intend To Join APC, Says Peter Obi

Peter Obi, a former presidential candidate, has denied claims that he intends to join the All Progressives Congress (APC). Obi made this clear while dismissing a report circulating on social media regarding an APC gathering where his name was mentioned.

In a post on X, Obi stated, “Let me make it unequivocally clear: I do not engage in toxic politics, blackmail, or any form of political manipulation. My name should not be associated with such narratives.”

Obi emphasized that he is not a member of the APC, nor does he intend to become one. He reiterated his commitment to integrity, fairness, and issue-based engagement in politics.

Obi also commented on Valentine Ozigbo, a former fellow member of the Labour Party, saying that Ozigbo should be evaluated based on his leadership qualities in his new political party, the APC.

Obi stressed the importance of free, fair, and credible primaries, stating that every aspirant deserves a fair chance to contest without bias or blackmail. He expressed his hope that all parties will ensure a transparent and democratic process in the upcoming Anambra State governorship election.
