A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibadan North East Local Government Area of Oyo State, Dr. Musa Kolawole, popularly known as ‘MKO’, has urged Nigerian workers to remain committed towards the nation’s productivity.
A statement by Kolawole’s personal assistant on media and publicity, Olawale Ebenezer, in commemoration of this year’s Worker’s Day celebration, emphasized the significance of workers to nation-building.
According to him, workers are indispensable to the socio-economic creation of the nation.
He commended the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), led by Comrade Joe Ajaero and Festus Osifo respectively, for standing firm behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
The 2027 Oyo State House of Assembly hopeful, who applauded workers nationwide, urged them to be more committed, dedicated, hopeful, and resilient, saying only through this can more wealth be created.
Kolawole lauded the open-door policy of President Tinubu’s administration towards workers, describing the assurance of minimum wage renegotiation every two years as unprecedented.
He called on governors across the country to prioritize the welfare of their workers to ensure lasting support and increased productivity.
The aspiring state lawmaker, however, urged the workers to have one voice, prioritize their health, and remain focused on achieving greater wealth and the goals of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
