The international organisation, EuroKnowledge, has presented an international recognition award to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the House of Lords, Palace of Westminster, London.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, received the award on behalf of President Tinubu during the event held over the weekend.
In a statement issued by EuroKnowledge Vice President, Kate Sovdagari, the organisers announced that Tinubu received the Distinguished EuroKnowledge Leadership Award during the EuroKnowledge Leadership Forum and Award Reception in London.
According to Idris, the award recognises Tinubu’s transformational leadership, bold reforms, and efforts to position Nigeria as a global investment destination — reinforcing the nation’s international reputation and citizens’ pride.
Billionaire businessman, Chief Kessington Adebukunola Adebutu, was also honoured with the Distinguished EuroKnowledge Lifetime Achievement Award in Business and Philanthropy.
The award was received on his behalf by the National Programme Manager of the Renewed Hope National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme, Aderemi Adebowale, who explained that Adebutu could not attend due to his 90th birthday celebration in Nigeria.
Adebowale said, “Chief Adebutu would have loved to be here, but because of his 90th birthday celebration in Nigeria, he asked me to receive the award on his behalf.”
Other honourees included the CEO of Konga, Nnamdi Ekeh, who received the EuroKnowledge Award for Emerging Leadership in Digital Transformation and Forbes Best of Africa E-Commerce Leadership Award, as well as the MD/CEO of GText Global Properties, Dr. Stephen Akintayo, who also received an award from EuroKnowledge.
In her goodwill message, Chairperson of the Foreign Investment Network (FIN) and Co-Convener of EuroKnowledge, Olayinka Fayomi, praised President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for restoring investors’ confidence, promoting transparency, and driving forward-thinking reforms across key sectors of the economy.
