The win relieved pressure on manager Daniel Farke, who opted to retain the 3-5-2 formation that inspired a late resurgence in their previous match against Manchester City. Chelsea, who had recently impressed against Arsenal and Barcelona, were unable to match Leeds’ intensity despite being considered title contenders.

The result boosts Leeds’ hopes of avoiding relegation as they prepare to face Liverpool at Elland Road on Saturday.
