Ogun 2027: Forum Declares Support For Yayi’s Governorship, Backs Oludotun For Reps

A political group, the Possibility Mission Forum, on Tuesday in their large numbers declared their support for the Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, as the next Governor of Ogun State, while also endorsing the Commissioner for Forestry, Engr. (Hon.) Taiwo Oludotun, for the House of Representatives seat representing Abeokuta North, Odeda, and Obafemi Owode Federal Constituency.


The declaration was made during a well-attended gathering held at Ori-Omi in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State, where members of the group turned out in large numbers to publicly affirm their loyalty and commitment to the aspirants.

The event had in attendance party leaders, party faithful, and supporters from across Abeokuta North, Odeda, and Obafemi Owode Local Government Areas.

Among those present were Hon. Sunday Akintona JP, Mr. Kola Makinde Ciroma, Omo Akin, Engr. Niyi Akintomiwa of Ward 14 Abeokuta North, Mrs. Aduke Mariam, Alhaji Akeem Sobayo Adeshina (Alaga Mesan), Hon. Wale Bello (GLO), Alhaja Sanni Olope, Hon. Sauala Makinde, Coordinator of Soredegbe Political Associate from Odeda, and Hon. Adebolu (Sekere).


Others were Alhaja Kabirat Dasaolu, Woman Leader from Obafemi Owode, Hon. Musiliu Akanji Akindele from Odeda, representatives of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Oloye Akolawole Shoremi, Prince Waheed Adeosun, and Alhaja Fatimat Oluwayemi Ogunyomi, popularly known as Olorin Twinny or Olorin Yayi amongst others.

The event also inaugurated coordinators for the Twinny Ambassadors across all the 16 wards in Abeokuta North Local Government, a move described as strategic in strengthening grassroots mobilisation, for Engr. Taiwo Oludotun House of Representatives ambition.

While speaking on the significance of the event, the Governor Liaison Officer in Abeokuta North, Hon. Wale Bello revealed that the gathering was organised to demonstrate unwavering support for Engr. Taiwo Oludotun, for his House of Representatives ambition.

His words “The purpose of today’s gathering is to show our support for our brother, Honorable Taiwo Oludotun. We want people to know that we will stand by him regardless of the situation.”

“Our goal is to ensure that what seems impossible becomes possible. That is why we are here to let everyone know that ‘Twinny’ is our preferred choice.

On the approaching elections, Hon. Bello called for a transparent and democratic process.

He said, “Let people come out and freely choose their preferred candidate. We are not against anyone supporting their own candidates. If ‘Twinny’ loses, so be it, but let the process be free and fair, and let the people decide. ”

Hon. Bello also canvassed support for the re-election of the member of the House of assembly representing Abeokuta North State Constituency, Hon.Dr. Babatunde Tella.

Also speaking, a chieftain of APC, Hon. Stephen Adetomiwa described the event as the beginning of a broader political movement aimed at mobilising support for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi and Engr. Taiwo Oludotun.

According to him, ” This program is designed to unveil our mission to all supporters and candidates backing Yayi, Engr. Taiwo Oludotun, as well as our Honorable Tunde Tella.

On his parts, the coordinator of Twinny Ambassador, Alhaji Shuaib Arowona from Abeokuta North Local Government, revealed that the group’s commitment to party discipline and collective progress.

“Through this forum, we want to make it clear to the party that Taiwo Oludotun is our man. He has never rejected any position assigned to him by the party.”

This gathering also serves to communicate to the incoming governor, Senator Adeola, the efforts Taiwo Oludotun has made in galvanizing support for him,” he stated.

He also noted that the Possibility Mission Forum operates across local governments as a progressive platform committed to upholding party supremacy and fostering unity among members.

In their separate remarks, leaders and other members of the party called on party members and the electorate to remain steadfast and align with leaders they believe can deliver impactful governance, as preparations for the 2027 elections continue to gather pace across Ogun State.
