Traditional Council Confers Lupona, Erelu Lupona Titles On Adegun, Wife

The Iporo Traditional Council of Chiefs in Abeokuta South Local Government of Ogun State has installed Hon. Chief Olayinka Abiodun Adegun and his wife as the Lupona and Erelu Lupona of Iporo, respectively.

Our correspondent reports that the installation ceremony took place today at the Ogboni House in Kobiti, Abeokuta, the state capital.

The installation was conducted by prominent chiefs in the council including the Apena Iporo, Chief Araba Okedairo, the Baase of Iporo, Chief Isiaka Owolabi, Baala Ilu Iporo among other Chiefs in the council.

Hon. Adegun is as a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abeokuta South Local Government and a former chairmanship aspirant in the last election.

The new Lupona, who felt happy and fulfilled with his installation, assured the traditional council Chiefs of his commitment and dedication to the development of Iporo traditionally and in other aspects.

Chief Adegun also assured that he will do and discharge all the duties that are expected of him to ensure that they are proud of him and do not regret supporting him.


In attendance included the Special Assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Agriculture, Hon. Olarenwaju Showunmi, a Chieftain of All Progressives Congress,  APC in Abeokuta South, Chief  Monsuru Afuye, party members, former consultant, friends and family members.
