Grassroots Movements For Senator Yayi in Imala/Idi-Emi Emi, Abeokuta North Local Government area of Ogun State has declared its readiness and commitment to mobilise votes for Senator Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi who is representing Ogun West ahead of the 2027 Governorship election.
It was gathered that thousands members of the party, APC in Imala/Idi-Emi came out in their large numbers to show support for Senator Yayi.
The political group maintained that Senator Yayi remains its only candidate, adding that it will do everything within its power to ensure the lawmaker takes over from Governor Dapo Abiodun, the current Governor of Ogun State.
A Chieftain of All Progressive Congress, APC in the community, Mr Samson Akintade , popularly known as Santo while speaking with newsmen after a meeting held on Sunday in Imala disclosed that the Grassroots Movements for Yayi has been in existence since 2017 and it was mainly created for the lawmaker.
He added that the group is fully in support of Senator Yayi, adding that the lawmaker has proven to be best man for the position.
Akintade said ” We are here today to let the whole State know that we are for Senator Yayi and this is the man who has done wonders as Senator in Ogun West and he has also extended the wonders to Ogun Central and we members of Grassroots Movements have decided to support him to become the next Governor in 2027. We are going to mobilise votes for him to actualize his Governorship ambition, you can see today that our people are ready with the number of people that came out to show support for the lawmaker, this group has been in existence since 2017 and is still in existence to work for the victory of Senator Yayi in 2027. We will work tirelessly to ensure Senator Yayi takes over from Governor Dapo Abiodun”. He concluded
Also a Chieftain of the party, Hon. Adetomiwa added that Yayi deserves to the next Governor, adding that he has the capacity, capability, and competence and track records to be take over from Governor Dapo Abiodun.
He called on the people of the community to join hands with them to work for the actualization of the governorship ambition of the lawmaker.
The former Senatorial aspirant also lamented over the deplorable road in Imala, saying that the road has been in bad condition for years.
Adetomiwa urged Yayi to come to their aide in putting the road in good condition.
A former chairmanship aspirant in Abeokuta North Local Government who is also from the community, Honorable Akande Abijek has said that the group is impressed by the giant strides of the Senator in Ogun West, urging the people of the community to rally support for the governorship ambition of the lawmaker so that he can extend good deeds to Imala community.
Also a Chieftain of the party in the community, Hon Ponmile Olajube maintained that they staning by Senator Yayi because he is a record breaker, adding that they will ensure they mobilise extensively to ensure that his governorship ambition comes to fruition.
